What a wild week to say the least. In the West Indies Mission, President Gameitte has established a few standards that we wants us to achieve this standards include things such as 10 member lessons per week, 7 referrals received and contacted, 10 new investigators, and 10 lessons with less active or recent converts. Most times we are unable to reach the standard in all of these categories because of time constraints or an inability to find member lessons or whatever. This past week Elder Freeman and I were able to reach and surpass the standard in just about ever category. This means we worked hard I think then we have in a long time. It was awesome on Sunday to get together and do planning and notice that we met them all. We were the only companionship in the Zone to do it this week. Cool huh? When I saw the Zone numbers it was cool to say hey, we got a fifth of all the member lessons for the zone and such.
Other then that it was a pretty good week. Nothing to exciting happened. No one in the Zone has received mail in three weeks. Saying this we just found out the Zone leaders haven't checked the mailbox in a while and the Jansens weren't able to do it either. Which probably means everyone has mail sitting for us in the city. Oh well! We have a zone meeting tomorrow morning in the City so hopefully we'll be able to get our mail. I'm hoping I have something. So I guess I'm assuming you all still love me, right? I know you do! The Jansens are actually no long in Suriname as Elder Jansen need to get his gallbladder removed. They didn't want the surgery done here in Suriname when they could fly back to Nederland. That really builds confidence in the Suriname Medical System right? From what I've heard they have two different hospitals a public one and the private one. Supposibly from what I understand we usually go to the private one. It is suppose to have better care and they like white people better there?
I don't have too much say today actually so I guess I'll just leave it there. Don't have my camera with me or I'd send pictures home. I love you all and I pray for you nightly. I hope you are doing the same for me!
Love
Elder Nathan John Nielson
